Saints' Bell, Biswal set field records, Hulton 2nd in 3000 at Bucknell

First year competitors Eliza Bell and Divya Biswal set St. Lawrence records in field event competition and Jenna Hulton had a second place finish in the 3000 meter run to highlight the Saint performances at the Bucknell Invitational Saturday and Sunday.

Bell high jumped 1,65 meters, eclipsing the 1997 mark of 1.63 meters by Karen LaMora and Biswal had a 11.57 meter series in the triple jump, improving the 2003 mark of 11.12 by Jessica Veniza. Bell was fourth and Biswal seventh in their events which included a field primarily of Division I and II athletes.

Hulton ran 10:31.28 in the 3000 meters for the top Saint finish in the meet with Ariel Beccia finishing 9th in 11:10.21. Hulton also had a 24th place finish in a 97-runner field in the 1500 on Saturday, running 4:39.00 just off the Saint record in that event. Carly Stine had the other top ten finish on the track for the Saints with a 10th place in 1:05.05 in the 400 meter hurdles.

Kristen Linder had a top ten in the shot put with a 11.56 meter throw for ninth place and finished 20th in the hammer. Heather Cutler was 16h in the discus with a 31.53 meter throw while Tori Bean was 25th in the long jump at 4.86 meters and 19th in the triple jump at 10.89 meters.

McKayla Nuffer finished 19th in the 10,000 running 37:44.32 with Elizabeth Edwards 37th in the 5000. Jessica Marini was 17th in the 400 in 59.58 with Staci Czaja 27th and Cassia Hameline finished 25th in the 400 hurdles.
