Eight runs in the bottom of the eighth inning helped Saint John's to an eventual 12-0 win over the St. Lawrence baseball team on Monday afternoon. With the loss, the Saints fell to 0-6, while the Johnnies improved to 6-3 on the season.

First-year Emmett Dunn allowed just two runs – one in the first and one in the third - on four hits in six innings of work for the Saints, but still took the loss. Robert Iametti, Will Fellows and Robert Gates combined for two innings of work in relief.

With a 2-0 lead heading into the late innings, the Johnnies scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh on a two-RBI double and added eight more in the bottom of the eighth on seven hits and one error to make it 12-0.

For the Saints, Isaac Lewis, Ransley Mendez, Kyle MacDonald and Taylor Digilio each had one hit in the game.

Alex Kendall pitched a complete game, four-hit shutout with six strikeouts in the win for Saint John's.

The Saints have Tuesday off and will play their final non-conference game in Florida on Wednesday before taking on Vassar in back-to-back Liberty League doubleheaders.
