Oswego State pitcher Charles Arcuri allowed just one hit in six innings of work to help the Lakers shutout the St. Lawrence baseball team, 7-0, on Tom Fay Field on Wednesday afternoon. The Saints are now 12-10 overall this season, while the Lakers reached the 20-win mark with the non-conference victory.

Junior Kyle MacDonald spoiled the Lakers' no-hit bid in the bottom of the sixth inning with a single up the middle. The Saints finished with five hits to Oswego's 10 on the afternoon, as Chris Fernandez, Michael LeFevre, Andrew Schreyack and Adam Reichel recorded the others.

Graduate student Ben Jenkins was the pitcher of record for the Saints, as he earned the start and gave up three runs on five hits in three innings of work. Oswego got on the board in the first inning and added two more in the third, before scoring a pair in both the fifth and sixth on relief pitcher Frank Grady to push to the eventual 7-0 margin.

Between their five hits and six walks, the Saints had opportunities to put runs across, particularly in the later innings, but stranded 11 runners.

St. Lawrence will return to Liberty League play with a crucial four-game series with Union in Schenectady this weekend.
