Carter Armstrong concluded his first trip to the postseason with a 15th-place finish in the men's slalom night race at the 2018 NCAA Skiing Championships in Steamboat Springs, Colorado on Friday evening.

Armstrong posted the 17th-fastest time in his first run of the night with a time of 40.19 seconds. His second run of the night took slightly longer, in 42.75 seconds, but that was good enough for the 11th-fastest time and earned Armstrong the 15th-place overall finish.

"Carter had another solid race at the NCAAs this evening," said head coach Willi Steinrotter. The coaching staff is proud of how he skied in a field of racers that have been ranked high in the world."

After the third day of competition, Armstrong earned St. Lawrence 28 points for 16th place in the team rankings. He earned 12 points from the giant slalom on Wednesday and 16 from tonight's slalom run.
