This spring the St. Lawrence women's soccer team welcomed alumni, honored award recipients and recognized the class of 2015 at the annual women's soccer end of the year banquet.

With over 70 family and friends in attendance, 15 members of the team received athletic and academic recognition from the NSCAA, ECAC and the Liberty League conferences while Emily DePoy '16 and Kelsey West '16 were recognized for their NSCAA Regional All-America selections.

The Saints, who advanced to the Liberty League Championship for the first time in program history, also announced their incoming first year class.

"It's always a special weekend for the program," Head Coach Franco Bari said. "The opportunity for alumni to interact with current members of the team provides a wonderful opportunity to not only make connections but also celebrate the past, present and future."

West, who made two key penalty kick saves in the conference semifinals and guided the team to the 2014 Liberty League Championship game, was honored as the team's Most Valuable Player. Hailing from Nova Scotia, Canada, West was also a Liberty League second team All-Conference selection, Liberty League All-Academic, a Liberty League Performer of the Week during the season and was selected to the Liberty League All-Tournament Team.

The team Rookie of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year was awarded to first-year student Kaleigh White '18. White led the team with seven goals and was also a second team Liberty League All-Conference award recipient.

Adriana Morra '16 was selected as the team's Defensive Player of the Year. A Liberty League Honorable Mention and All-Tournament Team selection, Morra led the back line which produced nine shutouts and a .85 GAA.

The team Most Improved Player selection was Lisbon, NY native and first-year student Jacqueline Sovie '18.

The Coaches Award, which recognizes individuals who have embodied the true spirit of a member of the women's soccer team, was presented to two members of the senior class: Elena Dauphinais '15 and Alexandra Weatherbie '15. Dauphinais' career was cut short due to injury but she continued to provide side line support as a player-coach. Weatherbie served as a goalkeeper her first two seasons before transitioning to a field player for the remainder of her career. Both were honored for their significant contributions to the team.

The Saints also announced the incoming Class of 2019 as well as the captains for the 2015 season: West, Morra and Hannah Calvelli '16.
