The St. Lawrence University women's swimming and diving team had six individual wins and a relay win in a 122-101 victory over Saint Michael's College on Sunday afternoon. The Purple Knights, however, collected 15 points in the final relay to edge out the Saints men's team by the score of 115-114.
The women's team, led by double-winners Molly Lunn and Chasity Barcomb, improved to 5-1 on the season. Russ Newton, Andrew Hayes and Billy Moran were double-winners for the men's team, which slipped to 0-6.
Lunn won the 1000-free (11:26.08) and the 500-free (5:35.56), while Barcomb took both diving events with scores of 145.40 and 195.80. Also earning individual wins were rookie Samantha Moffitt and sophomore Natalie Dellinger, taking the 50-free (26.55) and the 100-fly (1:03.67), respectively.
Dellinger and Moffitt teamed up with junior Casey Abribat and sophomore Elizabeth Canne to win the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:57.70.
For the men, Newton won the 1000-free (10:19.03) and the 500-free (5:04.81), while Hayes won the 200-free (1:51.63) and the 100-free (50.63). Moran won both diving events with scores of 135.50 and 164.30.
First-year student Kirby Kaylor and junior Jason Dutra also earned individual victories in the 200-IM (2:09.26) and the 100-fly (57.79), respectively.
Hayes, Kaylor, Dutra and Newton also won the 200 medley relay in 1:46.60
