St. Lawrence University's 4x100 and 4x400 relays each came away winners at the Oneonta May Meet Saturday evening and both just missed making it inside the top 16 times for NCAA qualification as of Saturday.
The 4x100 team of Adrian Wilson, Omaru Kabia, Shawn Lillie and Andy Fisher ran 42.22. .31 of a second outside of the current top 16 for NCAA qualification while the 4x400 team of Wilson, Chris Payton, Harrison Sloan and Nick Crawford ran 3:20.12 to win, four seconds off a top 16 time.
The teams will have another shot at possible NCAA qualification at the ECAC Championships next weekend.
Senior Jake Fredericks also had a win on Saturday, running the 110 hurdles in 15.00.
Kabia added a fifth in the 100 in 11.26 while Zach Nelson was fourth in 3:59.09 in the 1500 with Corey Hahnl ninth. Harrison Sloan was sixth in the 800 in 1:53.61 while Wilson was seventh in the 200 in 22.89 and Scott Smolensky was third in the 5000 in 15:10.39 and Trevor Bibb finished 13th.
In field events, Mike Scott was fourth in the high jump at 1.88 meters and A.J. Blaisdell was fifth in the discus at 38.99 and ninth in the shot at 12.89 meters.
