(Canton, N.Y.)- The SUNY Canton women’s soccer team dropped a 4-1 decision to the University of Maine at Fort Kent Saturday afternoon in Canton.
The Roos fell behind 3-0 before defenseman Katy Sofranko (Lafayette, N.Y.) scored her first career goal unassisted in the 76th minute.
Colleen Fagan (Bath, N.Y.) had two saves for the Roos in goal.
Whitney Sinclair and Donike Ferriera had a goal and an assist apiece for the Bengals who are the top-ranked team in the USCAA.
The two teams square off again on Sunday to complete the two-game series starting at 12 p.m.
