Plattsburgh, NY – The SUNY Canton women's soccer team was unable to overcome a quick start as they fell to host Plattsburgh State, 10-0, to on Wednesday evening.
The Cardinals got on the board early as Cammey Keyser scored the contest's opening goal just 7:34 into the game. Plattsburgh added another score just 50 second later and took a 6-0 lead into intermission.
The hosts added four goals after halftime for the 10-0 final. Plattsburgh State held a 16-1 shots on goal edge. Karyss Terrance (Hogansburg, NY) was the lone Roo to challenge the opposing goalkeeper.
Liz Lynch (North Lawrence, NY) stopped six shots in net for the Roos, while Danielle Schmitt and Jamie Favreau combined to stop one shot in the shutout for the Cardinals.
