Annandale-On-Hudson, NY – The SUNY Canton women's lacrosse team cruised to its 10th win of the season setting a school record with a 16-1 victory against Bard College on Wednesday afternoon.

With the win the Roos (10-4) bested last season's program record of nine wins as they continue their rapid growth in just their fourth season as a program. SUNY Canton won two games during its inaugural season in 2012, followed by five victories in 2013 and nine in 2014.

Robyn Carroll (Bowmanville, ON) led the way with four goals and two assists upping her season total to 61 goals, while Tressa Goolden (Canton, NY) caged four goals to finish the regular season with 57 scores. Megan Poupore (Massena, NY) was impressive all around posting two goals and three assists. Hannah Christiansen (Lake View, NY) posted two goals and one helper and four other players scored a goal each.

Christiansen scored the first goal of the game on her birthday 4:11 into the contest. Leia Carey responded to tie it for Bard 10 minutes later but the Roos would control the remainder of the game, rattling off 15 straight. Six different players scored in the opening 30 minutes as the Roos led 10-1 at intermission.

The Roos cycled all of their players in during the second half as Goolden scored three times, while Carroll, Sydney Kinder (New York, NY) and Caitlin LaVoie (Fulton, NY) each scored once en route to the 16-1 victory.

Becca Kieffer (Lee Center, NY) stopped five of the six shots she faced, while Kaylynn Tran made four stops for Bard. This closes out the 2015 regular season for SUNY Canton. They will wait until Monday morning to see if they receive a bid into the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Tournament.
