SALEM, Mass. – Jessica Pele and Tess Adams each found the back of the net twice as 11 different players registered a point in the SUNY Canton women's hockey team's 7-0 win at Salem State on Friday.

The Roos improve to 7-8 on the season, while the Vikings drop to 2-11 following the non-conference tilt at Rockett Arena.

Adams and Pele scored power play goals in the opening period as Rhea Coad and Sydney Jordan earned helpers on the Adams score and Alyssa Hein set up the Pele tally.

Adams and Jordan added power play markers in the opening seven minutes of the middle period off passes from Noelle Niemiec and Margret Troiano. The Adams goal was her 12th of the season, while Jordan lit the lamp for the second time in as many games. Hannah Brady found Grace Page at the 12:08 mark for her first score of the season and Pele added an unassisted marker with 2:13 to play as the Roos opened a 6-0 advantage after two.

Tessa Dobson slotted her fourth goal of the season 15 minutes into the third period off passes from Brady and Hein for the 7-0 final. The Roos held a 39-19 shots advantage including an 18-4 mark in the decisive second period.

Brooke Susac turned aside 19 shots in her second shutout of the season, both of which have come v. the Vikings. Sarah Plourde turned aside 14 shots over the first 27:51, while Calie Richman made 18 stops over the final 32:09.

The Roos went 4-for-7 on the power play, while killing off both Salem State skater adantages.

The women's hockey team has a week off before it continues Colonial Hockey Conference play at Endicott next Friday at 7 p.m.
