Canton, NY – Visiting NVU-Lyndon jumped out to an early lead and used it to earn a 75-42 win in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) regular season finale for the SUNY Canton women's basketball team on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Hornets jumped out to an early 7-0 lead and led 16-4 after the first quarter and took a commanding 35-10 lead into intermission. Play was closer in the second half with the Hornets outscoring Canton 40-32.
Sade Rogers led the Roos with nine points, while Antanasia Chambers posted eight points, 10 rebounds and four assists. Breanna Cullers and Jenifer Morgan-Aubin chipped in seven points each.
Lyndon hit 15 three-pointers in the game as four players had multiple makes from long distance led by a 5-for-9 mark from Faith Poirer. She led the Hornets with 15 points, while Alissa Mitchell (14) and Tayler Courchesne (11) also scored in double figures.
The visitors held the upper hand in rebounds (61-41), second chance points (31-10) and bench points (27-9), while the hosts had the edge in points in the paint (26-14).
The Roos honored their two seniors Jenifer Morgan-Aubin and Sade Rogers in a pregame ceremony.
WHAT'S NEXT
This closes out the regular season for the Roos, who have qualified for the NAC Tournament. SUNY Canton will await the conference's official release on Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning but the Roos have secured a home game for the quarterfinal round.
