(Pittsburgh, Pa.)- Sophomore Emiley Walters (Lancaster, N.Y.) hit a two-run home run on Friday as SUNY Canton dropped a doubleheader at Point Park University losing 15-2 and 8-0 in Pittsburgh.

Walters blast came in the top of the first inning of game one. After junior Heather Lottie (Canton, N.Y.) drew a two-out walk, Walters came up and ripped a shot over the fence in left field for her fourth career home run and first this season.

Junior Jessica Measheaw (Hammond, N.Y.) recorded a pair of strikeouts while allowing 10 hits and just one walk in 3 1/3 innings of work.

In the second game freshman Jessica Rhodes (Alpine, N.Y.), who entered the weekend as the Roos (2-10) top hitter batting .462, went 2-for-3 with a pair of singles. Sophomore Melissa Campoverde (Forest Hills, N.Y.) and freshmen Olivia Blackmore (Madrid, N.Y.) and Jena Cryderman (Madrid, N.Y.) each contributed a single in the nightcap.

Measheaw struck out four batters in game two and didn't walk a batter in 5 2/3 innings.

Sarah Prosser had a solo home run in the opener for Point Park and Teresa Davis went deep twice in the nightcap driving in five runs.

The Roos wrap up their Pennsylvania swing with a twin bill at Carlow University on Saturday starting at 1 p.m.
