(Plattsburgh, N.Y.)- Freshman libero Robyn Carroll (Bowmanville, Ontario) recorded 19 digs for the SUNY Canton women’s volleyball team as they lost to SUNY Plattsburgh 25-22, 25-22 and 25-21 in the second day of the Ground Round-Best Western Cardinal Classic.
The Roos, ranked fifth in the USCAA Coaches Poll saw their record move to 7-2 overall.
Sophomore setter Mackenzie Mynter (Churchville, N.Y.) notched 33 assists and two service aces. Sophomore outside hitter Jessica Reynolds (Oakville, Ontario) pounded down a team-high nine kills and made 12 digs and senior outside hitter Danielle Swanston (Burke, N.Y.) finished with eight kills.
The Roos return home next weekend when they host Paul Smith’s College, St. Joseph’s College (N.Y.) and Johnson State College (Vt.) in a one-day event. The Roos and Paul Smith’s play first on Saturday, Sept. 22 starting at 10 a.m. and then SUNY Canton faces Johnson State at noon and St. Joseph’s at 2 p.m.
