(Rutland, Vt.) – Sophomore Corrine Riegel (Bainbridge, N.Y.) pumped in 15 points leading the SUNY Canton women’s basketball team to a 46-35 win over the College of St. Joseph Saturday afternoon in Rutland, Vt.
Riegel also grabbed nine rebounds for SUNY Canton, who won their second straight game and third of four outings to start 2013 as the Roos improved to 8-6 overall.
Junior Alicia Uhlein (Watertown, N.Y.) added nine points and six assists, and junior Joelle Percy (Black River, N.Y.) chipped in with nine points for the Roos, who led 22-18 at halftime.
Brooke Griswold scored 11 points to lead the Fighting Saints.
The Roos hit the road again on Tuesday, Jan. 15 for a road game at Alfred University at 6 p.m.
