(Paul Smiths, N.Y.)- Khalid Vaughn (New York, N.Y.) poured in a career-high 24 points and SUNY Canton erased a two-point halftime deficit to top Paul Smith’s College 67-60 in a non-conference game Friday night.
Vaughn eclipsed his previous career-high of 18 points that he scored just five days ago against the University of Maine at Fort Kent by sinking all eight of his free throw attempts on Friday. He also had three steals for the Roos who had to fight back after falling behind 26-24 after the first 20 minutes. SUNY Canton will face the Bobcats one more time on Feb. 8 at home.
Silvon John (Bronx, N.Y.) added 10 points and five rebounds for SUNY Canton (2-11). Theron McGregor (Brooklyn, N.Y.) had eight points and three rebounds and Jajuan Williams (Richlands, N.C.) contributed to the win with seven points and six rebounds.
Kashean Alston scored 17 points to pace the Bobcats and Chibunna Belonwu added 15 points.
