(Paul Smiths, N.Y.)- The SUNY Canton men’s basketball team suffered a 69-62 setback at Paul Smith’s College Saturday afternoon.
The Roos (12-10) raced out to a 42-35 halftime lead after shooting 47 percent from the floor through the first 20 minutes of play. The Bobcats rallied back with a strong second half to outscore the Roos 34-20 over the final 20 minutes to earn a season split between the two teams.
Junior Woody Jules (Brooklyn, N.Y.) collected a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds to pace the Roos. Freshman Vonallen Pickett (Brooklyn, N.Y.) scored a team-high 16 points. Junior Irving Cato (New York, N.Y.) added 13 points, eight rebounds and four assists and sophomore Khalid Vau
