(Geneseo, N.Y.)- The SUNY Canton women’s volleyball team dropped both matches of a tri-match at SUNY Geneseo on Saturday falling to the host Blue Knights 3-1 and Houghton College 3-1.
The Roos, ninth in the USCAA Coaches Poll, fell 26-24, 15-25, 11-25, and 12-25 to Geneseo and 15-25, 20-25, 25-22, and 10-25 to the Highlanders. SUNY Canton dipped to 12-14 overall.
Mackenzie Mynter (Churchville, N.Y.) had 20 assists, five kills and four aces against Geneseo. Jessica Reynolds (Oakville, Ontario) added nine kills and Abbey Shoen (Waddington, N.Y.) had eight.
Mynter had 27 more assists and nine kills against Houghton. Reynolds had nine kills and Brianna Rodriguez (Fresno, Calif.) contributed five kills.
The Roos are next in action on Friday, Oct. 21 at Morrisville State College and then in a tri-match at Cazenovia College against Cazenovia and Morrisville on Saturday, Oct. 22.
