(Syracuse, N.Y.)- Junior Irving Cato (New York, N.Y.) scored 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds leading the SUNY Canton men's basketball team to a 76-31 win over SUNY ESF in Syracuse on Saturday.
The Roos won their second straight game improving to 8-4 overall.
SUNY Canton outscored the Mighty Oaks 35-14 in the final 20 minutes after racing out to a 24-point halftime lead.
Freshman Tyler Ellison (New York, N.Y.) added 16 points, eight rebounds and four steals. Sophomore Scott Dixon (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and freshman Sean Perrin (Prescott, Ontario) each added 10 points apiece and junior Ryan Lamica (Constable, N.Y.) contributed seven points, six rebounds and three assists.
ESF was led by Andy Lipolt who had eight points and four rebounds.
The Roos next game is on January 18 when they travel to Boston for a game at Fisher College.
