(Canton, N.Y.)- Junior forward Kaitlin Myers (Dannemora, N.Y.) has been named the United States Collegiate Athletic Association Player of the Week in women’s basketball.
Myers led the Roos to a 1-1 week over the Thanksgiving break averaging 23.5 points, 11.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2.5 steals per game.
The Saranac Central graduate posted her first double-double at SUNY Canton with 23 points and 16 rebounds in a 67-64 win over Johnson State. She followed that with 24 points, six rebounds and three steals in a loss to Clarkson University. For the week, Myers shot 62 percent from the floor and 75 percent from the free throw line.
Myers currently leads the team in scoring (14.7) rebounding (7.6), assists (2.8), and steals (2.1).
