(Paul Smith’s, N.Y.)- The SUNY Canton men’s soccer team won their third straight game and posted their third consecutive shutout after blanking Paul Smith’s College 3-0 on the road Saturday.
The Roos (6-6-1), ranked 18th in the USCAA Coaches Poll, scored twice on the 11th-ranked Bobcats in the first half and tacked on one more in the second half.
A trio of sophomores scored for the Roos on Saturday as Shane Powell (Yonkers, N.Y.), Abdulai Jagana (Bronx, N.Y.), and Francesco Cardillo (Tonawanda, N.Y.) each tallied one goal. Sophomore Jonathan Forte (Schenectady, N.Y.), junior Keelon Joseph (Malabar, Arima, Trinidad) and freshman Tahj Selvon (St. Joseph, Trinidad and Tobago) were each credited with an assist.
Sophomore Antonio James (Black River, St. Elizabeth) played all 90 minutes in goal and wasn’t called on to make a save.
The Roos return home on Tuesday, Sept. 16 when they host Clarkson University at 7 p.m.
