(Keuka Park, N.Y.)- The SUNY Canton men’s soccer team got back on their winning ways with a 1-0 win over Keuka College Saturday afternoon in Keuka Park.
The Roos improved to 7-7-1 overall and have won four of their last five games and all four wins have been shutouts. The Storm dropped to 7-6 on the season.
The game-winning goal for SUNY Canton came in the 35th minute. Junior Keelon Joseph (Malabar, Arima, Triniday) sent a nice cross to the foot of sophomore Shane Powell (Yonkers, N.Y.) who buried a shot to the far post for the game’s only score.
Freshman William Banahene (Rochester, N.Y.) posted five saves for his third shutout of the fall.
Preston Vick had four saves for the Storm.
The Roos wrap up their weekend with a game at Daemen College in Amherst on Sunday morning at 11 a.m.
