Jay, VT – The SUNY Canton men's golf team placed three players in the top 6 individually en route to a second place finish at the Lou Jarvis Memorial Tournament on Friday at the Jay Peak Golf Course.
Nolan Reid (Champlain, NY) posted a nine-over par 81 to lead the Roos in fourth place. Zach Meade (Tupper Lake, NY) was just one stroke back, while Carter Brock (Albany, NY) recorded an 83. Matthew Russell (Cranberry Lake, NY) rounded out the scoring for SUNY Canton posting an 85. Jeff Mott (Waddington, NY) also competed for the Roos carding a 96.
Castleton State College took home the team title with 318 strokes, while SUNY Canton finished second with 331. Daniel Webster College (398) and host Johnson State College (454) rounded out the competing teams.
The men's golf team has a couple weeks off before closing out its season at the 2014 United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) National Championships in State College, PA.
