Roos men's cross country team finish in fourth place at Middlebury Invitational

(Middlebury, Vt.)- The SUNY Canton men’s cross country team finished in fourth place out of six teams at the Aldrich Invitational hosted by Middlebury College on Saturday.

Middlebury captured the overall team title followed by St. Michael’s College, Norwich University, SUNY Canton, Paul Smith’s College, and Johnson State College.

Senior Justin Richardson (Pavilion, N.Y.) was the Roos top finisher for the third time this year as he finished in 18th place out of 75 runners in a time of 28:17.

Junior Jon Flint (Queensbury, N.Y.) followed Richardson in 25th place with a time of 29:39. Freshman Zach Doyle (Oneonta, N.Y.) was 27th at 29:54. Freshman Meraf Tenaw (New York, N.Y.) was 34th (30:48) followed by his brother Mekedem Tenaw (New York, N.Y.) in 37th place (31:06) and senior Dylan Barringer (Wallkill, N.Y.) in 39th place (31:12).

The Roos return to Vermont on September 22 when they run in the Southern Vermont Mountaineer Invitational in Bennington.
