(Johnson, Vt.)- Junior Katlyn Hart (Harrisville, N.Y.) and freshman Karley Cree (Hogansburg, N.Y.) each scored once as the SUNY Canton women’s soccer team lost to Johnson State College 4-2 on Sunday in Vermont.
Hart's goal came in the 23rd minute after she stuck home a rebound of a well-struck dead ball from just outside the penalty box by senior Chelsea Allen (Marcellus, N.Y.). Cree scored the Roos final goal with 12 minutes left in regulation with a long lofted shot from the left side that snuck in just under the crossbar. Freshman Brittany Pierce (Madrid, N.Y.) picked up the assist.
Sophomore Laura Pratt (Binghamton, N.Y.) made two saves 76 minutes and freshman Megan Evans (Potsdam, N.Y.) had no saves in 14 minutes.
Ally Bataille scored twice for the Badgers and Katja Langmaid had six saves.
The Roos (4-3) return home on Wednesday, Sept. 19 hosting Cazenovia College at 4 p.m.
