Roo women fourth at Cazenovia College Invitational

(Cazenovia, N.Y.)- The SUNY Canton women’s cross country team finished in fourth place at the nine-team Cazenovia College Invitational on Saturday.

Hartwick College won the race followed by SUNY ESF, Sage College, SUNY Canton, SUNY Delhi, Morrisville State College, the host Wildcats, Keuka College, and SUNYIT.

Freshman Keara Byrne (Queensbury, N.Y.) was the top finisher for the Roos for the first time this season as she turned in a fifth-place finish out of 78 total runners. No official times have been provided.

Sophomore Megan Mydosh (Warwick, N.Y.) followed in sixth place. Freshman Megan Morrow (Gouverneur, N.Y.) was next in 20th place followed by freshman Bonna Milem (North Rose, N.Y.) in 37th place and freshman Jessica Nagy (Budd Lake, N.J.) in 43rd place.

The Roos are next in action on October 6 when they run at the Hoffman Invitational at St. Lawrence University.
