(Presque Isle, Maine)- The SUNY Canton men's soccer team relinquished a one-goal halftime lead as they lost to the University of Maine at Presque Isle 3-1 Sunday afternoon in Maine.
The Roos fell to 5-3 in the Sunrise Conference and 5-7 overall. Repton Abrahams (Brooklyn, N.Y.) had given the Roos a 1-0 lead when he notched his third goal of the season unassisted at 32:01 of the first half.
But the Owls bounced back in the second half and scored three unanswered goals to claim the win. Homero Flores (Tamaulipas, Mexico) had six saves for SUNY Canton. Ben Costello, Corey Fournier and Carl Nemer scored for Presque Isle and Joshua MacKinnon had three saves.
The Roos will host conference foe Fisher College next Saturday and Sunday. The two team square off on Saturday at 1 p.m. and 11 a.m. on Sunday.
