(South Burlington, Vt.)- Sophomore Morgan Barr (Almonte, Ontario) made 29 saves as the SUNY Canton men’s ice hockey team was shut out by St. Michael’s College 4-0 Tuesday night at Cairns Arena in South Burlington, Vt.
Barr made 10 saves in the opening period helping the keep the contest a 1-0 affair. He then had 12 saves in the second period and seven more in the third period for his final total.
The Roos (3-7) had two power play chances in the opening period but couldn’t get the equalizing goal. SUNY Canton finished 0-for-3 with the man advantage.
Dave Donzanti had 16 saves for the Purple Knights and four different players scored a goal for St. Michael’s.
The Roos continue their 11-game road swing this weekend when they travel to Connecticut for a pair of games. On Saturday, Nov. 24 SUNY Canton faces Wesleyan College in Middleton, Conn. And on Sunday, Nov. 25 they Roos take on Trinity College in West Hartford, Conn.
