Roo men's hockey player Barr makes 29 saves against St. Michael's

(South Burlington, Vt.)- Sophomore Morgan Barr (Almonte, Ontario) made 29 saves as the SUNY Canton men’s ice hockey team was shut out by St. Michael’s College 4-0 Tuesday night at Cairns Arena in South Burlington, Vt.

Barr made 10 saves in the opening period helping the keep the contest a 1-0 affair. He then had 12 saves in the second period and seven more in the third period forMorgan Barr had 29 saves on TuesdayMorgan Barr had 29 saves on Tuesday his final total.

The Roos (3-7) had two power play chances in the opening period but couldn’t get the equalizing goal. SUNY Canton finished 0-for-3 with the man advantage.

Dave Donzanti had 16 saves for the Purple Knights and four different players scored a goal for St. Michael’s.

The Roos continue their 11-game road swing this weekend when they travel to Connecticut for a pair of games. On Saturday, Nov. 24 SUNY Canton faces Wesleyan College in Middleton, Conn. And on Sunday, Nov. 25 they Roos take on Trinity College in West Hartford, Conn.
