Roo men finish 15th at USCAA National Championship

Syracuse, NY – The SUNY Canton men's cross country team recorded a 15th place showing out of the 19 team field Friday at the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) National Championships at the Drumlins Golf Club.

The Roos finished with a team score of 353, bettering four other teams on the day. Shawn Deibel (Albion, NY) led the way for SUNY Canton covering the 8-kilometer course in a time of 31:00 good for 53rd place out of the 183 runner field. Jon Flint (Queensbury, NY) was the next Roo finisher coming home in 62nd place in a time of 31:24.

Dylan Barringer (Walkill, NY) was just 30 seconds behind Flint to reach the chute in 72nd place. Bryant Cotey (Norwood, NY) crossed the line in 35:25 good for 139th place. Andrew Wilson (Bronx, NY) was the final Roo competitor to reach the line in 156th place with a time of 37:28.

Host SUNY Environmental Science and Forestry took home the team title with 42 points edging second place Daemen College (74) and third place Dine College (80). This concludes the 2013 season for the SUNY Canton men's cross country team.
