A Rochester sweep of singles helped the Yellowjackets to an 8-1 win over the St. Lawrence men's tennis team in the first match of the season on Sammis Courts on Saturday afternoon.
The lone victory for the Saints came from Rhonny Rosario and Elliot Solandt at second doubles, as they outlasted Rochester's Ben Shapiro and Ian Baranowski in an epic battle to hold on for a 9-8 (8-6) win.
St. Lawrence will look to rebound with a match against Liberty League foe Hobart on Sunday afternoon in Canton.
