CORNWALL, Ont. -- The Cornwall River Kings suffered back-to-back losses on the road last weekend in Sorel Tracy and Trois-Rivieres but the team gets a rematch against Trois-Rivieres Saturday night after their 5-0 blanking last weekend.

“Last weekend we played with a short bench both nights and many of our signed regular players were not in the lineup,” said Head Coach Al Wagar. “Fans can expect to see most of the regular roster this weekend.`”

Wagar adds, “Unfortunately fans will have to wait for our home opener Oct. 20 to see recently added former NHL enforcer Francis Lessard. He had prior commitments before joining the club.”

The puck drops at 7:30 p.m. at the Civic Complex. Season tickets are still available by calling the River Kings office at 613-935-6219 or emailing riverkings@live.ca

Meanwhile, the River Kings have come to terms with forward Jason Dolgy and Maxime Chamberland. Dolgy played with Brooklyn in the FHL and Pensacola of the SPHL last season collecting 27 points in 38 total games. Chamberland played for Chicoutimi, Drummondville and St-John`s in the QMJHL and spent four seasons at St-Thomas University.
