Quinnipiac sophomore forward T.T. Cianfarano finished off a close-to-home weekend with a pair of goals and junior goaltender Sydney Rossman recorded her second straight shutout as the Bobcats completed a North Country sweep with a 5-0 ECAC Women's Hockey victory over St. Lawrence Saturday afternoon.

Oswego native Cianfarano, who had a hat trick in Friday's 3-0 win at Clarkson, ran her total to 14 goals in 13 games with her two against the Saints and Rossman made 17 saves for the shutout as the eighth ranked Bobcats improved to 9-1-3 overall and 5-1-2 in ECAC Hockey. St. Lawrence, which will host Penn State in non-league games on Monday and Tuesday, falls to 7-7-1 overall and 4-2-0 in the ECAC.

"We had some really good chances to score first in the opening ten minutes," said Saint coach Chris Wells. "Quinnipiac was relentless on the puck and they took away many opportunities as the game wore on. They scored some hard-working goals and kept the North Country scoreless this weekend…a pretty impressive feat."

Quinnipiac opened the scoring 11:17 into the first when Melissa Samoskevich scored her fourth of the season on a quick Bobcat rush. It went to 2-0 4:21 later when Nicole Connery chipped the puck away from a Saint defender behind the SLU net and while Saint goalie Sonjia Shelly was able to stop Cianfarano's first try on the wrap around, Cianfarano kept at it and tucked her own rebound under Shelly's pads at 15:38.

Rookie center Rani Marcon made it a 3-0 game at 15:31 of the second when she collected a rebound of a shot from the point by Kristen Tamberg and put the puck back past Shelly and the Bobcasts put it away with a pair of third period goals. Cianfarano scored her second of the night at 12:57 and Marcon added her second of the game at 16:43 when the puck bounced off a Saint skate and right onto her stick in the short slot.

Quinnipiac outshot the Saints 28-17 with Shelly making 23 saves. The Bobcats limited the Saints to 38 total shot attempts and had 11 blocks while the Saints had a dozen blocked shots among 58 Quinnipiac shot attempts.
