The No. 10 St. Lawrence men's soccer team fell 2-0 to Skidmore in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. on Saturday afternoon, behind a two-goal day from the Thoroughbreds' Kevin Santos. Santos netted the game winner just 12 seconds into the match.

With the loss, St. Lawrence drops to 2-2 in Liberty League play midway through the conference schedule while holding a 9-2 record overall. Skidmore improves to 5-4-2 overall and remains unbeaten in league play at 2-0-2 with the win.

Brendan McNamee led the Saints with two shots on goal, while Ryan Roche and Manny Collins each recorded a shot on target.

The Saints outshot Skidmore 16-5 in the game with a 4-2 edge in shots on goal and continuously applied pressure to the home team, earning six corner kicks while conceding one. But they couldn't get past goalkeeper Derrick Yam who finished with four saves.

Mike Smith took the loss for St. Lawrence and did not make a save in the game.

The Saints will look to rebound at Union and Rensselaer next weekend in a pair of Liberty League matches at 4 p.m. and 2 p.m., respectively on Friday and Saturday.
