Senior Mark Provost and junior Dan Hunt will captain the Saints men's soccer team in 2014, as they prepare to defend their third Liberty League title in the last four seasons. Provost also served as a captain in 2013 alongside Andrew Bednarsky.

"Mark and Dan are two very capable captains," Head Coach Bob Durocher said. "How they work together on and off the field will play a big part in the success of this year's team. Their NCAA experience will also play a role as we try to bring new players into our system and utilize their talents to improve our entire team."

Provost, a native of Toronto, Ontario, also captained the team last season alongside All-American Andrew Bednarsky. He started all 22 games for the Saints in 2013 and finished second to Bednarsky in scoring with six goals and nine assists for 21 points, helping him earn second team All-League honors.

Hunt, a Regional All-America selection in 2013, was named the Bob Goodwin Award recipient at the program's annual banquet in April, recognizing him as the most consistent player for the 2013 season. The South Glastonbury, Conn. native notched seven goals and two assists for 16 points during his sophomore campaign.

"Many of the same pieces are in place from last year, but we will need to work harder and play smarter to have the same type of success," Durocher said.
