Piskorowski stops season-high 16 shots for SUNY Canton women's lax in 13-10 win at Salem State

Salem, MA – Nicole Piskorowski stopped a season-high 16 shots and three different players tallied four points as the SUNY Canton women's lacrosse team earned a 13-10 road win at Salem State University on Saturday.

MaryClare Bowes paced the Roos (3-3) offensively with four goals and added a game-high three caused turnovers to go with three ground balls. Allison Auger added three goals and an assist, while Devin Kelly finished with a pair of goals and assists. Molly Denny also found the back of the net twice and Katelynn Nutter tallied a goal and assist.

SUNY Canton led 6-5 at intermission and with the game tied at nine midway through the second half scored four of the final five goals of the game.

Kelly and Denny recorded three draw controls each, while five players picked up three ground balls each. Chelsea Smith led the Vikings with three goals and an assist, while Paige Giuliano finished with a hat trick.

Piskorowski stopped 16 shots, while Gianna DeNisco made 26 saves for Salem State (0-4).

The women's lacrosse team is back in action on Tuesday when it hosts Clarkson University at 4 p.m.
