Senior Kara Pelosi, a first-team All Liberty League selection for the St. Lawrence University field hockey team a year ago and juniors Jamie Oriol and Carly Dziekan will captain the 2015 SLU field hockey team.

Pelosi, the leading scorer for the Saints a year ago, has played in 46 career games for the Saints with 31 starts in the last two seasons. She had 16 career goals and seven assists with two game winning goals.

Oriol and Dziekan are two outstanding defenders who have started every game in their first two seasons and are among the Saint leaders in minutes played. Oriol played 1149 minutes to lead the team last year and had a goal and a defensive save while Dziekan had the second most defensive saves in a single season with 10 last year and has played 2265 minutes in the last two seasons, leading the team in that category. She had a goal and an assist plus two defensive saves in her rookie season.

"All three captains have outstanding work ethic both on the field and in the classroom and will help instill team cohesion," said Saint coach Fran Grembowicz. "I am confident they will continue to be outstanding leaders for us."
