St. Lawrence University freshman Evan Page was named Liberty League Rookie of the Year and Saint men's cross country coach John Newman and assistant coach Kate Curran earned Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year honors in voting by the league's coaches.
Page becomes the fourth straight Saint runner to earn Liberty League Rookie of the Year honors while Newman and his assistant were honored for the eighth straight year and the 11th time since 2003.
Page was named Liberty League Rookie of the Week five times in the 2014 season including after the Liberty League Championships at which he was the top rookie finisher. He was also the top Liberty League newcomer and second overall among freshmen in the NYSCTC championships.
Additionally eight Saint runners were confirmed as All Liberty League based on finish in the league championship race.
Thomas Caulfield, Spencer Patterson, Joe Smith and Wesley Kirui were named to the first team all-league squad while Trevor Bibb, Harrison Sloan, Scott Smolensky and Ben Fishbein were second-team selections.
