Jayden Young, a North Country native from Norwood, and her team, the East Coast Wizards from Massachusetts, have been crowned USA Hockey Tier II 16U 2016 National Champions in Burlington, Vt.
The East Coast Wizards defeated Alaska 2-1 in the championship game on Monday.
This is a back-to-back title for the East Coast Wizards, Coach Mark Lissner and the four returnees in the photo, Jayden Young in the middle along with Rachel DiFraia, Emily Smith, and Jessica Tolzman.
The Wizards completed the tournament 6-0 and had only one goal scored against them in the entire tournament.
