Northern TRIBS swimmers brought home three trophies from the Starfish Trophy Invitational recently in Troy at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, hosted by the Albany Starfish Swim Club
Over the course of the three-day meet, TRIBS swimmers broke four female club records, 12 male club records and five club relay records.
Several swimmers came home with ribbons and three trophies. In order to earn a trophy, swimmers had to place well for their age group in all eight of their individual events.
Gretchen Braun of Lisbon ended the meet with 157 points, taking first place among 9- and 10-year-old girls.
Sydney Rochefort of Massena earned 137 points to take second place among girls aged 9 and 10.
Seth Braun of Lisbon amassed 137 points and took home the trophy for second place among boys aged 11 and 12.
Northern Tribs is a year-round USA Swimming club for swimmers of all ages in St. Lawrence, Franklin, and Jefferson Counties including Akwesasne, with swim practices in Massena and Canton.
