Potsdam, NY – The SUNY Canton baseball team scored nine runs in the fourth inning including a pair of home runs to earn a 10-7 win at Clarkson University on Tuesday.
Wilson Matos hit a two-run homer and Seth Douglas cleared the bases with a grand slam as the Roos exploded for nine runs in the top of the third to turn a 3-0 deficit into a 9-3 lead.
After scoring three runs in the first three innings the Golden Knights added one run each in the sixth and seventh innings.
Travis Schindler drove in Brett Hoberman on an RBI double in the eighth and Clarkson added a pair of runs in the bottom half of the inning leading to the 10-7 final.
Tom Brusca earned the win on the mound tossing three innings giving up four earned runs.
The baseball team is back in action on Wednesday with an Empire 8 Conference doubleheader at Utica College beginning at 2 p.m
