Senior captains Kiera Taussig and Julia Mitiguy recorded season-best performances as the St. Lawrence University women's lacrosse team captured their first conference road win of the season defeating RIT 15-7 Friday afternoon in Rochester, New York.

Taussig and Mitiguy led the Saints with five goals each, a season and career-high for Mitiguy and a season-high for Taussig. Today's game marked Taussig's best performance since SUNY Potsdam in March of 2016, where she scored six goals. Ashley Norris scored two goals for the Saints, while Kara Hurley, Alexandra LaMotte and Emma Jewett netted one goal each.

Mitiguy opened up scoring early on in the game, scoring two goals in the first five minutes of play to give the Saints a 2-0 lead over the Tigers. Norris kept the ball rolling off a pass from Emma Jewett to score her eighth goal of the season and extend the Saints lead to 3-1. RIT took their first lead of the game (4-3) off a goal from Emily Livecchi with just over 12 minutes to play in the first half. The Tigers' remained in control taking a 6-5 lead into the locker room as Livecchi scored on a free-position shot with two seconds remaining in the first half.

It was a back and forth game during the beginning of the second half, but the Saints put a stop to RIT's scoring at just seven goals, and tallied nine goals to capture their second conference win of the season.

"It was a great win and momentum builder for us today, we hope to carry that momentum through in our game tomorrow," said head coach Ashley Pike.

RIT was led by Livecchi, who scored four goals and an assist for the Tigers. Sammy Ward added two goals, while Nicole Bingo scored one. Rebekah Snitkoff and Elizabeth Hughes combined for 10 saves in goal for the Tigers.
