Senior Samantha Miller came from behind after going down 2-0 in the third set of the decisive match at No. 6 singles to win six straight games and earn a 6-0, 2-6, 6-2 victory and help the Saints to a 5-4 team win over the University of Rochester in Rochester on Saturday afternoon.

The Saints trailed 2-1 after doubles and were also down 4-1 after a pair of losses at No. 1 and No. 2 in singles competition. Wins from Miller as well as Morgan McNeal (7-6(4), 6-2), Emily Wyman (6-2, 6-4) and Georgia Comber (6-2, 6-1) in the third, fourth and fifth spots, respectively helped the Saints battle back into it.

"Both teams played their hearts out today," Head Coach Greg Kreitzer said. "We put ourselves in a little hole going down 2-1 in doubles, but I was proud of the way the team responded. We showed terrific resiliency and discipline today, which was great to see."

The pair of senior Elkie Vandenbeemt and McNeal, which is currently ranked 13th in the Northeast region, won the lone doubles match for the St. Lawrence, 8-5, at No. 1. Wyman and Anna Young and Comber and Miller each dropped hard-fought matches to their Yellowjackets opponents, 9-7.

With the win the Saints improve to 12-3 overall this season. They will travel to Geneva, N.Y. for a Sunday morning Liberty League matchup with William Smith at 10 a.m. tomorrow.
