St. Lawrence University senior Nyasha Miller became St. Lawrence University's all-time leader in career kills on Saturday at the 2011 Regional Challenge. The Mount Kisco, NY native passed Jessica Lucky '10 and was named the tournament Most Valuable Player.
Miller currently stands at 1,326 career kills with the Scarlet and Brown, passing Lucky's total of 1,318.
"Nyasha has been an offensive force for the volleyball program since her first year on campus," said St. Lawrence head coach Shelly Roiger. "Her career kill total is a testament to her strength and poise at the net."
Miller had an outstanding weekend and earned MVP honors at the Regional Challenge thanks to 48 kills and 59 digs.
The Saints will begin the 2011 postseason on Friday when they take on Skidmore College at 7:30pm at the Liberty League Tournament hosted by Clarkson University.
