St. Lawrence University's women's squash team completed its regular season with a 9-0 loss at Middlebury on Sunday, and will look forward to the 2012 CSA Women's team nationals to be held in Cambridge, MA Feb. 24-26.
The Saints finished the dual match season at 2-12, but 11 of their 12 losses came against teams ranked in the top 20 nationally, seven of those against top 15 teams.
Against 11th ranked Middlebury, Brigitte Tousignant lost 3-0 to Abigail Jenkins 15-13, 11-4, 11-5 at one, Jenn Hearn lost 3-0 to Charlotte Dewey at two and Brittany Coxe lost 3-0 to Kathryn Bostwick at three.
Anne Wymard of Middlebury beat Kendall Harty at four, Amanda Chen beat Charlotte Edson at five and Molly Hubbard turned back Molly Caplan 11-7, 11-2, 12-10 in a tight match at six. Lindsay Becker beat Parker Benedict 3-0 at seven, Anne Ulrich was a 3-0 winner over Kate Holby at eight, Katie Dewey beat Carolyn Fisher 3-0 at nine and Alexandra Boillot won the exhibition match over Caroline Williams at ten, also by a 3-0 score.
