Junior John Megas rallied for a 10-8 third-set win at first singles preserve the sweep for the Saints against Nazareth to close the regular season schedule on Saturday afternoon.
Megas also paired with Will Ballew at third singles, as the two earned an 8-4 win against Matt Jennings and Brian Rosiek. Paul Barrett and Tom Luchars also earned an 8-4 win in doubles at No .2, while Robert Schmitz and Elliot Solandt helped the Saints jump out to a 3-0 lead with an 8-2 win at No. 1.
In singles play, Megas won the first set against Erik Manske 7-6 (4), before dropping the second 5-7 to force the third set. He was the only Saint to need a third set in the win.
Schmitz was perfect in singles, downing Scott Trobert 6-0,6-0 at No. 2, while Will Kauppila, Marco Amendola and Elliot Solandt each earned 6-1, 6-1 victories for the Saints. The other win came from Barrett in the third spot, as he beat Nick Lord 6-1, 6-3.
The Saints, now 9-8 on the season, will turn their attention to the Liberty League Tournament which begins on May 2.
