CANTON, N.Y.—The SUNY Potsdam golf team finished fourth at the SUNY Canton Invitational this afternoon with a score of 339. Clarkson University won the team title with a score of 332. Seniors Brendan McMenimen (Merrimac, Mass./Governor's Academy) and Dylan Murphy (Saratoga Springs, N.Y./Saratoga Springs) each shot an 82 to tie for fifth place overall.
Seniors Jake Martin (Montreal, Quebec), Andrew Scuncio (Essex, Conn./Pittsford-Mendon) and Jordon Fordyce (Northville, N.Y./Northville) each tied for 13th with scores of 87. Senior Nick Smith (Saratoga Springs, N.Y./Saratoga Springs) was next with an 88 and sophomore Vinny Guimond (Sorel-Tracy, Quebec) had an 89. Senior Chris Strough (Alexandria Bay, N.Y./Alexandria) rounded out the group with a 99.
The Bears are back in action tomorrow and Sunday at the Utica College Invitational.
