ELMIRA -- The SUNY Potsdam golf team placed 6th at the Elmira College Fall Invitational Tuesday afternoon.
SUNY Delhi won the competition with a final score of 325, while the Bears finished with 354.
Senior Matt Supernault (Massena, N.Y. / Massena) led Potsdam posting a low score of 87.
Freshman John Hickey (Au Sable Forks, N.Y. / Au Sable Valley) and sophomore Tyler Carrow (Ogdensburg, N.Y. / Ogdensburg Free Academy) tied with rounds of 88. Senior Andrew Holmes (Fort Ann, N.Y. / Fort Ann) and sophomore Austin Pivetta (Chateaugay, N.Y. / Chateaugay) rounded out the team with a 91 and 93, respectively.
The Bears return to the course on Saturday, Oct. 6-7 for the ECAC Qualifier in Macedon. Tee time is set for 10 a.m.
