Seth Braun with his coach Joshua Jock at the zone championships in Webster last weekend
Northern TRIBS swimmer Seth Braun from Lisbon along with Coach Josh Jock of Massena attended this year's Eastern Zone Short Course Age Group Championships in Webster.
Over the course of the three days of the championships as part of the Adirondack District All-Star team, Seth improved many of his swims.
He reset two of his club records while at Zones. In the 200 freestyle he dropped 1.98 seconds, placing 17th with a 2:20.38, and in the 50 breaststroke he dropped 1.41 seconds finishing in 22nd place with a time of 40.12.
Two-time Olympian Chloe Sutton attended and awarded the medals to the top 10 finishers in this age group.
This is the second Zone team Coach Jock has helped coach and Seth is the fifth swimmer from Northern TRIBS Swimming to qualify for this elite level of competition. “We hope that more of our club's swimmers will be able to participate at this level in the future,” Jock said.
A new season begins April 18. Swimmers can register online for lessons and competitive practices, het meet results and club information at www.goTRIBS.org.
