In the first of several preseason predictions for the 2015 NCAA Division III College Football season, the Lindy's 2015 Preseason Top 25 features St. Lawrence University as the #15 team according to the national magazine that hit the newsstands in late June. The magazine also recognized seniors Chyron Wallace-Brown and Leondre Simmons as members of the Lindy's Preseason All-Division III team as Second Team selections.

"It is an honor to be recognized by Lindy's in the preseason rankings but I am also very happy for Chyron (Wallace-Brown)and Leondre (Simmons) for their individual recognition as well," said head coach Mark Raymond.

The Saints, who finished last season with an 8-2 mark and return six players that earned First-Team All-Liberty League honors, are predicted to be the top team in New York State at the #15 position in the top-25 ranking. Mount Union earned the #1 spot while defending National Champion Wisconsin-Whitewater is predicted at #2. The only other team from New York in the rankings is St. John Fisher College at #20.

Wallace-Brown and Simmons were second team defense selections to the All-Division III team. The duo combined for 66 tackles while Wallace-Brown led the team and the Liberty League with seven sacks and Simmons contributed five interceptions and 10 pass breakups from his cornerback position.

Only three other players from New York schools were in the preseason list with a pair of special team players from Cortland and SUNY Maritime earning First-team honors and a linebacker from Buffalo State earning a spot on the Second Team. No other Liberty League players were named.
