Molly Lennon won the 400-meter run with an ECAC qualifying time of 58.74 seconds to lead the St. Lawrence University women's outdoor track and field team at the Cardinal Classic at St. John Fisher on Saturday afternoon.

The race marked the first time her four-year career that Lennon, who typically focuses on the 400 hurdles during the outdoor season, has run the 400 outdoors for the Saints. She won the race by 0.27 seconds, with SUNY Geneseo's Mackenzie Ross finishing second.

Cassidy Scott also hit an ECAC qualifying mark, finishing third in the 1,500 in 4:45.63 for a 16-second PR. Caroline Driscoll was five seconds behind Scott in fourth place.

Leah Conners led the Saints in the field events, finishing third in the hammer throw with a toss of 43.64 meters, while Holly Riccitelli hit an outdoor PR in the triple jump, finishing fifth with a leap of 10.16 meters. Meghann Wood added a fifth-place finish in the shot put with a throw of 11.86 meters.

No team scores were kept at the event, and several members of the team did not compete on Saturday, as they were resting up for the New York State Collegiate Track Conference heptathlon competition, which will take place at Nazareth on Sunday and Monday.
